Spray Drying Nozzles

Spray drying is one of the most challenging applications with nozzles in the industry. The process is influenced by various factors, such as the design of the spray dryer, the airflow, and the inlet temperature. Additionally, the capacity of the nozzles, the droplet size, and the distribution of the droplets play a crucial role, as well as the properties of the materials being sprayed.

All these elements determine the quality of the final product, including the particle size, solubility, and packaging density. Accurate adjustment of these variables is essential for an optimal drying process. On this page, you will find a wide range of spray drying nozzles for various applications.

S(BX) SERIE

The BX spray drying nozzles provide an even distribution within a hollow cone pattern. They have a capacity of 177 to 5486 liters per hour (at 50-450 bar) and spray angles ranging from 50° to 110°. Even with high-viscosity liquids, performance remains stable.

RX SERIE

The RX spray drying nozzles have a hollow cone pattern with even distribution. They deliver 65 to 6777 liters per hour (at 50-450 bar) and spray at angles of 50° to 90°. With reduced resistance, they operate up to 20% more efficiently than the BX model.

M(S)BX SERIE

The MBX spray drying nozzles provide an even distribution within a hollow cone pattern. They have a capacity of 21 to 1458 liters per hour (at 50-450 bar) and spray angles ranging from 50° to 110°. Their performance remains unchanged, even with high-viscosity liquids.

VX SERIE

The VX spray drying nozzles have a hollow cone pattern with even distribution. They deliver 65 to 6777 liters per hour (at 50-450 bar) and spray at angles of 50° to 90°. With lower resistance, they operate up to 20% more efficiently than the BX model.

AUX SERIE

The AUX spray dryer has an integrated pneumatic high-pressure valve that works independently of the fluid pressure. Suitable for up to 250 bar, it supports both vertebral bodies and vertebral chambers and prevents dripping.

Z SERIE

The patented Z series is a new generation of quick-change nozzles, consisting of four models for (S)BX, RX, VX and VX with 45° exhaust respectively. Optionally, the nozzles or plug-in nipples can be fitted with a non-return valve

ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS

This includes adapters for easy connection and cleaning, such as the BXAD, RXAD, CRXAD and QCRX-AD, which help replace parts without leakage. There is also a dual-agent nozzle that mixes lecithin with steam to create a fine mist.

ULTRASOON BATH

The ultrasonic devices are suitable for cleaning spray drying nozzles and parts. The ultrasonic distribution is optimized with, among other things, 25kHz. Available in various sizes and supplied with basket and lid.

HIGHFLEX HOSE

These high-pressure hoses are specially designed for the food industry, where high pressure, flexibility and safety are required. They are supplied with safety wire and are suitable for temperatures from -60°C to 110°C.
